So the new Xbox, the Xbox One, was just announced today. Overall, I like it, but there are a few things that are bothering me about it. The main thing I don’t like is that it’s not backwards compatible. I think it should be because this generation of gaming had so many good games like Mass Effect 2, Halo 3, and Batman: Arkham City, just to name a few. It’s a shame that we won’t be able to play these games on the Xbox One. So achievements and gamertags will be able to transfer to the new Xbox. If those are going to transfer, why not make the new console backwards compatible? It just doesn’t make sense. Also, there are still a lot of games that I want to get for the Xbox 360, but now I’m going to have to wait to get the Xbox One first and then get them. Like Bungie’s new IP, Destiny. I REALLY want to play it and it’s coming out for both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Of course I’m going to want to play it on the Xbox One rather than the 360. So now I’m going to want to save up for the Xbox One AND THEN get Destiny. The problem is, I just got a new 360 to replace my old one this past Christmas. I don’t like that the Xbox One will be releasing this year. If it came out next year, I’d be perfectly fine with that. So as of right now, I like what I’m seeing in this new console, but I have some things that I really don’t agree with. I’ll get it eventually, but probably not until I head off to college next fall.

I am almost finished with school. I just have four more days of this nightmare. When it’s all over, I’ll be able to relax and focus on myself. I want this to be over already.

I have watched How I Met Your Mother for a few years now and I have always been a fan of its opening theme. I have never heard the full song, so a few days ago, I decided to listen to it. I am absolutely in love with it, just like I am with the show. I always thought that How I Met Your Mother has had a great song selection throughout the series. Hey Beautiful by The Solids is a great choice for the theme. I have had the song stuck in my head since I’ve listened to the whole thing.

For those that remember, I hate EA with a burning passion. They’re just a bunch of greedy scumbags that need to die off. Well I was browsing through the internet and I saw something that shocked me. EA is abandoning their online pass system. They have finally done something right for once. I’m not in love with EA or anything, I just think it’s good that they are fixing one of the reasons why so many people hate them. I just hope they can fix everything else so they can favorable. Until then, I’ll still see them as greedy piles of trash.

I have seven school days left in the year. I just want them to be over. I have my AP exam for world history tomorrow, a speech to give out for AP lang & comp tomorrow as well, a physics presentation due Friday, a physics project due next week, and I have about 3- 5 finals next week. It’s going to be rewarding though when I finish this school year.

This is a picture I took of Mariano Rivera during his postgame interview. I was so excited when he came out of the bullpen in the 9th inning. It was seriously the coolest thing I’ve witnessed. It was just surreal. I grew up watching him on tv and then to see him in person was a whole different experience. I actually got him to wave at me during pregame warmups!

I was at the Yankees game yesterday and during the pregame warmups, I met this girl who was a Yankees fan as well. We were standing next to each other over the away team dugout desperately trying to get an autograph from Joba Chamberlain (who turned out to be extremely rude). As we were trying to get autographs, we were discussing about how rude Joba was being. This girl was pretty cute and had this sarcastic charm, which I liked. She was wearing a Jeter jersey and had this cool large-beaded Yankees necklace. Me, being the idiot I am, didn’t ask for her number, let alone her name. As the game was starting, security made us go back to our seats. I didn’t get a chance to see where she would be. So throughout the game (which was great by the way), I kept thinking about this girl. It stinks that I let her slip away. This was the second time this year that I let a girl who I thought was really cool and everything just get away (the first was that girl in my trip to Chicago for those who remember me posting about that a couple of months back). Why can’t I just get commonsense to actually ask a girl for a way to contact them? I had fun at the game, but that was the only flaw of my day.

Not a surprise, but I’ve been extremely busy this week. Today was an accomplished day though. I took my AP exam for Language and Composition this morning. I felt that I did pretty well on it, even though my teacher for that class hasn’t taught anything useful the entire school year. Right now, I just returned home from hanging in downtown with my family. In a few hours, I will be heading out for Kansas City to go watch the Yankees game and I’m extremely excited about it! I’ll finally get to see my favorite baseball team play live. The only bad thing is that my favorite player is still out with an injury (get well soon Captain). After that, I just have to prepare for finals and the AP exam for world history. I have two weeks of school left and I just want it to be finished already. I had an exciting and fun school year, but the work was the most difficult out if all my educational career. Once summer break starts, I’ll be able to relax, play guitar, write my short story series and poems, etc. I’ll just have more time for myself, and that sounds really good right now. Until then, I’ll try my best to post as much as I can.
